It’s been five years since I’ve discovered Verso Skincare and their efficient Retinol 8 formula.
During these years I’ve re-purchased several times my favourite products from their range and I honestly say that it’s the only formula with retinol that I recommend right now.
Verso says that their products suit any types of skin, however, if you are dealing with sensitive skin, please try a sample first because this is powerful stuff.
Retinol or Vitamin A is scientifically proven to reduce the signs of ageing, it is stimulating the skin’s own production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Used consistently, it helps prevent wrinkles and sagging skin. It is also an antioxidant and is used to manage acne, eczema and skin discolouration.
Verso has patented a formula which is eight times more potent than typical retinol as well as being less UV sensitive and less aggressive.
I usually use the products during the cold season, when the days are shorter and darker.
I see results after the 3rd use meaning that my skin is more plump, it has a great glow and the fine lines look very much less obvious.
Also, when I have acne episodes, the formula helps my skin heel very quickly (sometimes, in only 24h).
My favourite products are:
Verso Foaming Cleanser reviewed here;
Verso Day Cream reviewed here;
Verso Super Eye Serum reviewed here;
Verso Night Cream reviewed here;
Verso Intense Facial Mask €60,00/4pcs
Verso Eye Cream Extra Nourish €65,00/20ml:
This product is a new addition to the range and it’s an eye cream which does not contain retinol.
It can be combined with the Eye Serum (which does contain Retinol 8) or it can be used on its own.
It has a very light, fragrance-free formula which feels refreshing and hydrates the under eye area perfectly. It makes a beautiful makeup base and it’s a very gentle product.
I recommend it for sensitive eyes and for dry and sensitive skin!
Also worth mentioning:
Almost all Verso products have pump dispensing and air tight bottles that preserve the ingredients and prevent contamination.
NO parabens, mineral oils, sulphates and phthalates. Verso is a cruelty-free brand.
There is also a small room for improvement, for example: I would prefer for the Day Cream to contain SPF.
Also, the packaging is beautifully designed, however it’s impossible to tell how much product there is left after a few weeks; even holding the bottle up to the light doesn’t reveal the cream within.
My skin could always use the help, so I will try this out. My eyes especially look tired.
This all looks like great skin care. I am just starting to look into these kinds of products.
There is nothing you love more than a good product in its properties as much as in its aesthetics.
This is perfect because I’ve been meaning to look into additional skin care. I especially need eye cream because the bags are real.
I’ve never had a chance to try any of these products, I also don’t know this brand. My eyes would need some extra nourishing for sure. 🙂
I think I would need that eye cream with retinol. Middle age is here. Would love to try that.
