I find Libre, YSL‘s best fragrance!
There is perfect balance between the beautiful bottle and the beautiful juice and this fact fascinates me because it’s rare.
One can enjoy this fragrance first by looking at the bottle that looks like a piece of sculpture, then by touching it and feeling the beautiful shapes and the different materials used in creating it and finally by smelling it.
YSL Libre (€72/30ml, €101/50ml, €135/100ml)
Libre is a unisex fragrance with the following notes:
Top: Orange, Lavender, Black Currant, Petitgrain
Middle: Jasmine, Lavender, Orange Blossom
Base: Madagascar Vanilla, Cedar, Ambergris, Musk (source: Fragrantica).
If you love lavender and vanilla, then you have to try a sample because I guarantee that you’ll find Libre a match for you.
It opens up with lavender sweetened by the fruity notes and the creamy tones of the base show up in the dry down.
It’s an easy to wear perfume, suitable for day and evening, summer and winter, men and women.
It is elegant and sexy, lasts many hours and smells better with each hour that goes by.
The bottle is a piece of art, it oozes elegance with a rock and roll vibe: the asymmetrical cap makes me think of an expensive leather goodie, the detail around the bottle of the neck looks like a golden chain, and the screwed-on iconic ‘Casandre‘ logo banding the hefty glass bottle looks like a diamond and gold piece of jewellery.
The pale golden colour of the liquid adds movement to these sculptural details.
