The ‘star’ of the month of September is the new Chanel perfume, an interpretation of the classic No.5 with the name of No.5 L’Eau.
I’ve always wanted to make the iconic Chanel No.5, my own, however, it was not possible.
My skin and my senses are not a match to this classic, for me it is too sweet and too woody, it’s too dominant, it tires me.
I was very excited, however, when I heard about this launching because I had a feeling, that Chanel No.5 L’Eau is a match…and I was definitely right, because I love it!
Chanel No. 5 L’Eau (€95,00/100ml)| This citrus-floral scent is light, refreshing, chic, elegant and sexy.
It is a complex fragrance which can be worn during the day and during the night, all year round.
I absolutely love the crystal bottle because it’s so minimalistic, timeless…also, super photogenic.
As for the more ‘technical’ details, here they are:
- This sophisticated potion, which was inspired by the classic Chanel No.5 was created by Olivier Polge (son of Jacques Polge who created the Eau de Parfum and the Eau Première), 95 years after the original.
- In order to be able to create the contemporary Chanel No.5 L’Eau, Olivier Polge needs a full year to harvest all the key ingredients: “In January, we collect all the citruses, in March we get the orange flower, and in May, the roses”.
- Top notes: lemon, mandarin, orange, neroli and aldehydes. Heart: rose, ylang-ylang, jasmine. Base: cedar, white musk (source: Fragrantica).
- The face of the perfume is Lily-Rose Depp, the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
This luxurious liquid looks like water and it smells clean, sunny, fresh with a touch of romantic purity!
It’s my addiction!
It’s so delicious, I even wear it when I’m at home.
Chanel No.5 L’Eau is definitely my love story and I’m always wearing it the way Gabrielle Chanel said: ‘You should put fragrance where you like to be kissed. It’s better.’
