Guerlain | New Terracotta Makeup & Aqua Allegoria Perfumes for Summer 2019

For this Summer, Guerlain has expanded the Terracotta family with several new additions and there are also a few new members in the Aqua Allegoria collection.

 

Terracotta Skin Foundation Stick in Light (€43,00)

This foundation is just perfect for summer because of the very travel friendly retractable stick.

The product has a creamy formula which is buildable and also waterproof.

It looks natural and feels very comfortable, it doesn’t cake, it doesn’t oxidise.

It blends beautifully and feels like velvet on the skin.

It is available in six shades and the darker ones can be used for contouring.

The formula features spherical powders which also help in mattifying skin and, as with all products in the Terracotta range, it bears a light version of the tropical fragrance which seems to dissipate quickly after application.

My way of using this foundation is by swiping on a few stripes to the cheeks and forehead and then blending it with this foundation brush.

 

Terracotta Skin Highlighting Stick in Gold (€43,00)

This creamy and very pigmented highlighter housed in a retractable stick is available in three radiant shades (Nude, Gold and Bronze) and one Universal Blush.

The illuminating formula is based on micro-powders and soft-focus pigments that enhance the complexion, leaving a beautiful glow behind.

The formula is very smooth and blends out perfectly.

It is a product that looks great not only during summer on tanned skin, but also all year round.

It bears the same fragrance as the Foundation Stick.

I love to use it not only on the high points of the face but also on eye lids, in lieu of a creamy eyeshadow.

 

Terracotta Touch Loose Powder To Go in Medium (€51,00)

I mean how about this gorgeous packaging, this is the cutest loose powder I’ve ever seen!

It comes in three different shades (Light, Deep and Medium) and has blurring corrective beads along with radiance revealing flakes which helps provide a flawless finishing touch to the complexion.

It is very fine-milled and feels like velvet on the skin. It offers a matte finish that doesn’t look chalky.

The formula is enriched with Jojoba Oil, which helps it retain a comfortable sensation throughout wear.

The container comes equipped with a flocked applicator on top; after removing the inner seal, you pat it directly onto the skin to release the powder, then buff that in with the mess-proof applicator.

 

Terracotta Contour and Glow Palette (€64,50)

This sleek travel friendly palette (limited edition) is the perfect essential to take with you on your holiday at the beach.

It contains a matte powder which can be used for contouring or as an eyeshadow; a bronzing powder for a healthy glow and the third segment has two parts, one is a blush and the other one a highlighter.

Each segment is large enough to be used individually but if you like to play, you can definitely mix everything with a fluffy brush and apply it on the cheeks (it looks fabulous!).

The shades are pigmented and easy to blend, they feel light on the skin and look good all day: night long.

The product bears the same yummy tropical fragrance that we can smell in all Terracotta products.

 

Terracotta Thalia Island (€66,00)

Terracotta bronzing powders have been loved by celebrities and models since 1984 and every summer, Guerlain brings out a special limited edition.

Thalia Island is the name for this year’s bronzer.

An ultra fine silky texture that provides an incredibly natural result which never oxidises, a long-wearing comfortable & moisturising feel upon the skin, and a distinctive fragrance like no other (tropical, summery, but which fades quickly after application).

The finish is also unmatched by any other brand, as it’s neither flat nor shimmery, and hard to describe; more along the lines of a healthy glow.

Both beautiful inside and out, the exquisite tin packaging is completely handbag-proof, so there’s less worry about smashing it, and when you’ve finished it, you can use the case as a collector’s tin too.

 

KissKiss Lipstick in Sugar Kiss (€66,00)

The perfect creamy coral for the lips.

Comfortable throughout the day, it doesn’t dry out the lips and applies easily without even needing a mirror.

It resists well on the lips (about 4h) however, if you need it to be more long wear, apply it on top of a lip crayon.

 

Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz (new), Ginger Piccante (new) & Bergamote Calabria (€66,00)

This range of fresh fragrances, originally created in 1999, pays homage to the brand’s long history of Eau de Colognes.

The bottles are simple yet refined, and pay tribute to the brand’s signature bee with the golden honeycomb mesh draping along the shoulders.

As these are eaux de toilette, staying power is definitely less than if they were perfumes, but that will also depend on your own body’s chemistry and how it reacts.

 
The nose behind Coconut Fizz is Delphine Jelk and if you like coconut, then this is the right fragrance for you because you can smell it quite strongly.
