6 Homemade Face Masks

Homemade Face Masks

As our skin quickly changes with time, it is important to take care of it and, in addition to the daily creams and serums, to use face masks at least once every week. These treatments don’t have to be expensive and we can use ingredients from our kitchen; many of these ingredients make the skin look younger and firmer, are 100% organic and don’t have any side effects.

Here are some homemade face masks that I’ve tested over the years and that really work:

  1. Anti-wrinkle Mask
  2. 1 vial vitamin E
    2 teaspoons yoghurt
    ½ tablespoon honey
    ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Mix the ingredients into a smooth paste and apply it on the face, neck and décolleté area. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash your face with warm water.

  3. Firming Mask
  4. 1 very ripe peeled peach
    1 egg white

Mix the ingredients into a smooth paste and apply it on the face, neck and décolleté area. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash your face with cold water.

  5. Revitalizing Mask
  6. Fresh juice from ½ cucumber
    ½ avocado
    1 egg white
    2 teaspoons milk powder

Mix the ingredients into a smooth paste and apply it on the face, neck and décolleté area. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash your face first with warm water and then with cold water. Before applying, you can keep this concoction in the fridge for 30 minutes.

  7. Toning Mask
  8. Fresh juice from ½ lemon
    1 egg white

Mix the ingredients into a smooth paste and apply it on the face, neck and décolleté area. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash your face with warm water.

  9. Facial Scrub
  10. 1 tablespoon jojoba oil/ melted coconut oil (You can use both oils as well)
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
A few drops of essential lavender oil
    1 teaspoon honey

Mix the ingredients, take a dab of the scrub and massage it all over your damp face, neck and décolleté. Don’t rub it in too hard, and avoid getting the scrub on the area around your eyes. Let it sit for just a few minutes, then wash your face with warm water.

  11. Body Scrub
  12. 1 tablespoon coffee grounds
3 tablespoons olive oil/ melted coconut oil

Mix the ingredients, take a dab of the scrub and massage it all over your damp body, especially on the cellulite areas. Let it sit for just a few minutes, then shower.
