Two weeks ago I had the pleasure to attend a beauty event organised by Lancôme! It’s the second time I’ve been invited to an event organised by the French beauty brand and I must tell you, there’s nothing better.
They are real pros in planning beautiful events in gorgeous locations.
Everything is so carefully prepared with a lot of attention to details, the atmosphere is so elegant and sophisticated; the Lancôme team is so friendly and open, I feel like visiting close friends.
In other words, it’s been a real pleasure and I’m very grateful!
While sipping crisp champagne, I’ve attended a makeup workshop presented by the lovely Suana during which I’ve learned how to use the draping makeup technique (the contouring of the face with different shades of blush).
I’ve also discovered the new La Nuit Trésor Eau de Toilette (which smells divine) and the ‘star’ of Lancôme’s makeup collection for Spring 2017: La Rose À Poudrer (which I cannot describe, it’s beautiful & delicate like jewelery and super pigmented) .
The collection for Spring 2017 – called Absolutely Rose – also includes a multitude of other beautiful products in soft, pastel shades which create an elegant, sophisticated and subtle makeup look, typically Parisian:
- La Rose À Poudrer – Limited Edition (€65,00) is a iridiscent highlighting powder which comes with a mini size kabuki brush in a rose vintage cardboard box;
- La Palette La Rose – Limited Edition (€60,00);
- Parisian Lips Le Stylo Limited Edition (€28,50) in 01 Bonjour Bonheur, 02 Rose Mon Amour, 03 Je m’appelle Rose, 04 Rendez vous à Paris;
- Le Crayon Miracle – Limited Edition (€17,60) in Perlmutt;
- Ombre Hypnôse Stylo – Limited Edition (€28,75) in 20 Rose Lumiere, 21 Gris Ruban, 22 Or Rose, 23 Rose Pastel;
- Grandiôse Liner (€35,20) in 04 Magenta and 09 Boise de Rose;
- Grandiôse Mascara – Limited Edition (€32,60) in 10 Bois de Rose;
- Cushion Blush Subtil – Limited Edition (€40,60) in 00 Highlighter, 02 Rose Lemonade, 024 Sparkling Framboise;
- Juicy Shaker in 3 limited edition shades (€24,45): 010 Snow-Tilly, 303 Cloudy Candy, 343 Top Gum.
Lancôme La Palette La Rose – Limited Edition (€60,00) | A versatile palette which (like the Sonia Rykiel palette) has two segments.
The first one features six very pigmented soft pastel eyeshadows, ranging from dusty rose to deep charcoal.
The second includes a transparent lip balm and two matte and very pigmented lipsticks, one fuchsia and one orange.
The palette is delivered in a mirrored compact, along with a dual-sided applicator brush.
The shades are velvety and long lasting, comfortable to wear. For a more intense look they can be used with a wet brush.
Lancôme Ombre Hypnôse Stylo 20 Rose Lumiere – Limited Edition (€28,75) | This creamy eyeshadow stick is also very pigmented and the shimmery pink shade is just beautiful.
It’s long lasting and very comfortable to use; combined with mascara, it creates a sophisticated day time eye makeup.
Lancôme Grandiôse Liner 09 Bois de Rose – Limited Edition (€35,20) | You already now that I’m a big fan of the Grandiôse Liner because it’s pigmented, easy to use and very long lasting.
Although I’ll always love the classic black which is so beautifully matte, I like this woody pink for spring and summer because it’s sexy and matches my green eyes.
Lancôme Juicy Shaker 303 Cloudy Candy – Limited Edition (€24,45) | This product created a lot of controversy since it’s launching.
Some like the formula, some don’t, however everyone seems to love the packaging.
For me it is the first time I try the Juicy Shaker and although it seems very pigmented inside the bottle, it’s very sheer on the lips.
It’s actually a balm which has a great applicator and which tastes deliciously sweet.
As a lip balm, it really does the job well, it’s fun to use and I think it’s perfect for the warm coming days.
What I’ve also received in my goodie bag from the Lancôme PR team, is the new Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation (€46,35) together with it’s mini foundation brush (which I LOVE) and the Teint Idole Ultra Compact.
As you can see in the photos, the shades are too dark for me right now, I will be able to use both products during the summer after I tan.
However I tried them at home and the formula is very good.
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation 03 Beige Diaphane (€46,35) | It has a matte finish (perfect for those of you who deal with oily skin), it’s very long lasting, very pigmented, comfortable to wear, medium to high coverage; it doesn’t cake and it’s transfer free.
It is available in 40 shades.
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Compact 03 Beige Diaphane (€52,00) | This powder foundation is also very pigmented with a medium to high coverage.
It’s mattifying without creating an unnatural look, it’s long lasting and it doesn’t cake. Again, perfect for oily skin; available in 7 shades.
