Estée Lauder has come up with a new liquid lipstick range, called Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor (long name, right?). I first saw them on Violette‘s Instagram account (she’s Estée Lauder‘s Global Beauty Director) and got excited because of the very pigmented shades, the creamy textures and the sleek packaging.
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor offers three different finishes: Matte, Vinyl and Mettalic and a lot of shades; you ladies can already find the product in the shops here in Brussels and you can choose between ten matte shades, seven Vinyl shades and seven Mettalic shades.
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor (35,70€/ 7ml)
The product has a very pigmented formula with a fruity perfume and contains hyaluronic acid with sustained release (the reason why the lipstick is so comfortable).
The texture si creamy and the applicator makes it slide easily along the lips.
302 Juiced Up has a matte finish and the shade is identical to my favourite MAC lipstick, called Lady Danger.
It is comfortable, it doesn’t dry out the lips (if you treat them with a rich balm before applying the lipstick) and it stays put 4-6 hours while eating/ drinking.
When it fades away, it leaves behind a nice tinted lip. It comes off with a biphasic or an oily makeup remover.
I love this shade, it is definitely my favourite shade of orange which I like to wear all year round.
406 Liquid Desire has a shiny finish and a very powerful pigment which stains the lip or the skin (if you happen to do swatches on your arm).
It leaves behind a stained lip even after removing the lipstick with the most powerful biphasic ever; the stain will stay put 48 hours.
The lipstick has a staying power of 4+ hours and I recommend it to be applied after you’ve outlined your lips with a crayon.
It looks better when combined with a matte lipstick and applied only in the middle of the lips.
I like this new lipstick range, I think it’s fun and fresh and I love the applicator.
The matte shades are more comfortable and don’t dry out as much as the classic matte lipsticks; however, if you deal with sensitive lips, you should try a sample before buying the product and you should hydrate your lips before applying Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint-On Liquid LipColor.
I also recommend that, no matter what finish and shade you choose, you should first outline your lips with a lip crayon in order to make the shade last longer and also to make the application precise and clean.
