I was super excited when I saw the first photos with the limited make-up collection for Spring 2016 by Yves Saint Laurent.

The products looked so good; I love green eyeshadow and I’m also obsessed with pink, lately, so, I knew what I will choose when this collection will arrive in stores.

It’s been a few weeks now since I bought the ‘Couture Palette Indie Jaspe’ and one of the 2 new nail polish shades, ‘Love Pink’. Here is what I think:

First of all, I absolutely love the YSL nail polishes, I’m using them for a few years and I must say that they are really gorgeous; impeccable quality, superb package, perfect brush, beautiful shades, with a formula which:

  • resists more than a week on the nails (with top coat),
  • doesn’t stain the nail,
  • it’s easily removable,
  • has the perfect consistency: not too liquid, not too thick.

‘Love Pink’ is a shimmery duo chrome with flashes of green.

The shimmer is more subtle on the nails than it is in the bottle, with a milky and elegantly sheer formula.

It’s the kind of varnish which looks chic if applied only once, however I always apply 2 coats + top coat.

It’s very easy to apply and it dries super fast.

The finish is glossy but with my top coat, it’s even glossier and it doesn’t stain the nail.

It’s the first time I try an eye shadow palette by YSL.

The package is absolutely magnificent, it looks like jewellery.

The 5 shades are so beautiful, classy, elegant, chic.

They are perfect for a day time make-up but also for a glamorous evening make-up.

The shades are silky and smooth, highly pigmented, easy to apply and to blend; the make-up resists all day and the shadows are not at all aggressive.

They are very easily removable, micellar water is enough.

The top left shade is a beautiful peach, top right shade is a lovely yellow gold.

The pale green and sage green (inspired by the green Jasper), round out the palette; the centre square of sheer glittering silver adds drama to the look (I like to apply this one even on top of earthly tones because it looks gorgeous).

For the photos, I applied the pale green on the entire lid, the deep green in the outer corner, the peach shade in the crease and the yellow gold under the eyebrows.

I applied the silver in the inner corner and the middle of the lid.
