Last week I was thrilled to be invited to the Sisley Make-up Party (Cathy Roelandts, many thanks!), a beauty event organised here in Brussels at ‘La Patinoire Royale’, a superb place where one can admire beautiful modern and contemporary art.
You can imagine, what a great setting this space was for beauty products that look like art objects.
So, during sipping crisp champagne and eating gourmet finger food, I listened to Head of Sisley Makeup, Anne Chamoyan, who patiently and passionately explained what are the news regarding make-up for the coming Summer.
A lot of products were at our disposal in order for us to swatch them, also the Sisley make-up artists were there, prepared to create beautiful make-ups for each and every one of us and share precious tips and tricks.
At the end of this stylish event, I also received a goodie bag full of products and after a week of testing them, here are my thoughts.
Phyto-Lip Twist – tinted balm
The Phyto-Lip Twist is a XXL lip pencil launched in 2014 and which had and still has a lot of success.
The concept is a lip product that combines lipstick, lip gloss and lip care.
It is also practical because it doesn’t need to be sharpened.
Initially there were 9 shades:
2. Baby, 4. Pinky, 5. Berry, 8. Candy, 1. Nude, 9. Chestnut, 3. Peach, 7. Coral, 6. Cherry
The new shades for this Summer are:
10. Sugar, 14. Love, 11. Litchi, 15. Nut, 12 Melon, 13. Poppy
I received:
11. Litchi– a beautiful nude, which I accidentally broke 🙁
13. Poppy– a vibrant red
My opinion
The Phyto-Lip twist is super easy to use (I don’t even need a mirror in order to apply it), moisturises like a balm, it’s comfortable, with colours so beautiful and easy to wear no matter the age and moment of day.
The formula is light and I can’t wait to use both of the pencils while on Summer vacation. They are super nourishing and the perfect sexy colours for my lips while sunbathing.
The Phyto-Lip Twist has definitely character and is a must, it is also my favourite product!

Phyto-Eye Twist – long lasting eyeshadow
The Phyto-Eye Twist is a waterproof eye pencil launched in 2015 which is very complex because it can be used as an eyeliner, an eye pencil and an eyeshadow.
Initially there were 8 shades:
1. Topaze, 2. Bronze, 3. Khaki, 5. Lagoon, 8. Black Diamond, 4. Steel, 6. Marine, 7. Havana
The new shades for this Summer are:
9. Pearl, 10. Amethyst, 12. Emerald, 11. Copper
I received:
10. Amethyst– an intense purple
My opinion
The Phyto-Eye twist is as is easy to use and comfortable as the Phyto-Lip Twist, it has a soft and super light formula and it resists all day long.
It’s not aggressive on the eyelids and it doesn’t dehydrate the sensitive skin although my shade is very matte.
I usually like to use the product as an eyeliner but it looks very cool when applied on the entire eyelid and combined with a glittery nude transparent eyeshadow on top.
I love the Phyto-Lip Twist, I’ll try some other shades for sure!

Mascara So Curl – curling fortifying
The Mascara So Curl is a curling and fortifying mascara which gives the lashes volume, curls them thanks to the gorgeous brush, while acting like a treatment; the formula is very special and eyelashes:
- appear fuller and longer in 4 weeks thanks to vitamin-rich Peptide and Arginine,
- appear stronger with continued use (vitamin-rich Peptide),
- are more beautiful day after day (Pro-vitamin B5, Rice Phytoceramides, Castor Oil, Passionflower extract).
It is a very pigmented mascara, which provides intense colour and long-lasting make-up. The formula is very light and ophthalmologically tested, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
There are 3 shades for this mascara:
1. Deep Black, 2. Deep Brown, 3. Deep Blue
I received the 1. Deep Black.
My opinion
The Mascara So Curl has a very light formula, which slightly curls my very straight lashes (I used a lash-curler in the picture before applying product).
The colour is very pigmented and the mascara is long-lasting.
It doesn’t irritate my eyes and I always wear contacts.
The formula is special indeed, it’s very creamy and nourishing; the brush is easy and comfortable to use because it separates the lashes to perfection.
The mascara doesn’t dry out on the lashes and it is very easy to remove.
However, I must say that the formula is too liquid for me, I like mascaras which are denser; it doesn’t make my lashes neither longer nor fuller.
I think it is the perfect product for someone who already has long, curly lashes; it is also the perfect mascara for summer when we need something very light but pigmented.
I like the Mascara So Curl, however it doesn’t suit me to perfection…I would love to try the Deep Blue one, though 😉

Phyto-Cernes Eclat – eye concealer with botanical extracts
The Phyto-Cernes Eclat is a concealer especially conceived in order to masks dark circles and signs of fatigue, to smooth fine lines and to reduce eye puffiness.
There were initially 3 shades and now there is a new one, number 4, suitable for darker skins.
I received shade number 4, but I couldn’t actually wear it because it’s too dark for me.
However, I can say that it blends beautifully and it’s very resistant.
It can be easily mixed with serum, if there is the need for something more nourishing. It comes together with a brush which makes the application more precise.
It doesn’t have any perfume.
Price: €72/ 15ml.
