I’m constantly struggling with dehydrated lips! It doesn’t matter if it’s summer or winter, there are persistent episodes of chapped lips in my life.

Because of the windy Brussels, I even choose sometimes to apply a very rich face cream on my lips…and no, coconut oil doesn’t solve this issue.

During the years, I’ve tried a few lip balms and there are some which are very effective, however the effect is not longterm.

Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm in 05 Candies Cassis (€24.00/ 7ml) | This product is the best from everything I’ve tried so far!

Now, I know that it’s not windy autumn or cold winter yet.

However, I’ve tried Sweet Pots during my long vacation at the sea side (where the wind, sun and sea have the same effect on my lips as the cold season)…and let me tell you something, it really works!

Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm has two segments: one segment is a scrub and the other one is a gloss.

The Sugar Scrub is sweet and it’s a pleasure to apply it because it erases the dehydrated flakes, massages and calms down the area.

It smoothes the sensitive skin and the result is plump, moisturised lips.

The texture is pretty rough but this is the part that I love most; in my opinion, a good/ effective scrub is rough. The effects are very long, once a week or once every two weeks is more than enough to use the scrub.

The fragrance is almost inexistent, maybe a subtle smell which reminds me of brown sugar.

I love to use the Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub before I apply a matte lipstick…the effects are fabulous!

The other segment is a glossy balm which hydrates, protects and offers a tinted finish, very natural and very comfortable.

The formula of the Sweet Pots Lip Balm is in between a balm and a gloss with a light, creamy, slightly sticky texture.

The effects of the Lip Balm extend hours after the shine is gone…I would say, until the next day.

It is perfume free and has also anti-inflammatory properties.

The two segments can be used as a two-step lip treatment, however, each segment could be used on its own or combined with any other lip product (the lip balm can also be used under or on top of a matte lipstick).

Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm is available in 5 shades: Red Velvet, Orange Blossom, Candies Cassis, Pink Framboise, Sweet Rose.

I saw this stuff while I was returning from vacation in Malaga airport travel free shop and I thought is a ingenious idea, I haven’t seen something similar before… Such a fool, hesitate to buy it maybe because I already spent to much on MAC products and now I regret because I think it was cheaper – up to 20 Euros. Anyway if I find it I will definitely buy it because is cool and as you mentioned that is working it became more attractive for me now.
