Guerlain welcomes Fall with some very stylish and intense lipsticks. I’m delighted to see that the brand develops its makeup range more and more. Guerlain’s makeup products exit the more classical area lately and enter the glamourous & sexy area.
For the new season Guerlain adds to the KissKiss range 9 shades of matte lipsticks.
In addition to KissKiss Matte, Guerlain launches the Intense Liquid Matte range , which consists of 7 shades of ‘liquid lipstick’. Intense Liquid Matte means a new concept, the products are hybrids: gloss & lipstick at the same time.
Guerlain KissKiss Matte in ‘Hot Coral’ and ‘Spicy Burgundy’ (€40/3.5gr) | These matte lipsticks are perfect for all of you ladies out there (no matter the age, skin type or lipstick preference), especially for those of you who are dealing with dry lips!
The KissKiss Matte lipsticks are very creamy and pigmented, they glide beautifully on the lips and they can be easily removed with only micellar water.
The finish is between matte and creamy and the staying power: 4 hours without eating.
They offer a very comfortable and beautiful alternative to all of you who don’t like the really matte lipsticks (you probably don’t like these, mostly because they are drying and because they feel heavy).
The KissKiss Matte formula contains hyaluronic acid and Nigella oil; there are 9 shades available and the luxurious packaging (which I’m crazy about) was created by Hervé Van der Straeten.
Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte in ‘Exciting Pink’ and ‘Addictive Burgundy’ (€36.5/7ml) | I love the new concept launched by Guerlain: liquid lipstick means the staying power of the lipstick and the glamourous texture of the gloss.
I’ve always wanted to wear my gloss for more than 1 hour without retouch.
Intense Liquid Matte has the same finish as the KissKiss Matte, it’s somewhere between creamy and matte.
The wand makes the application super easy & precise and the formula (which contains hyaluronic acid and tiger grass) feels like velvet on the lips.
Staying power: 4 hours without eating, available in 7 shades.
Tip: for a longer staying power, I’m applying my Kiss Kiss Matte and then follow with a layer of Intense Liquid Matte in a similar shade.
I also love to apply the Kiss Kiss Matte with a lip brush only on the contour of the lips and then to follow with my Intense Liquid Matte.
Guerlain Eye-Stay Primer (€31/12ml) | This product is an essential!
I’m not a fan of primers, however this one is really awesome.
It is a hybrid between correcting cream and primer, actually.
It’s a little pigmented, however the shade is universal.
It refreshes the skin and has smoothing and tightening effect.
It makes the skin more even, corrects the fine lines or the pigmentation spots.
It’s light as an eye cream, it’s hydrating and it doesn’t feel heavy on the lids.
It’s perfect for sensitive eyes!
It helps the eye makeup stay perfectly put for 8+ hours.
I truly recommend Guerlain Stay-Primer!
I tried the Kiss Kiss Matte and unfortunately I didn’t like it. The shades are great, but 15 minutes after applying it, I need to put some lipbalm over the lipstick. The gloss I didn’t tried yet, maybe I will buy one next year.
