My first contact with Lancôme was when I discovered the Rénergie and the Génifique ranges. For a few years I’ve used exclusively the Rénergie Multi-Lift Day Cream and the Rénergie Multi-Lift Night, which I can only recommend; they really are very good antiaging products.
I discovered the Génifique face serum during a trip to Rome in 2009.
The lady presented the newly launched product with a lot of passion and applied the serum on one of my hands in order for me to see the instant effect that this product has while penetrating the epidermis.
I remember even now how one hand used to look so much smoother and really plump compared to the other one which didn’t receive the ‘serum treatment’.
I was truly impressed and purchased, re-purchased, re-purchased the Génifique Serum for a long period of time.
It is a product which truly makes a difference, I recommend it!
This spring, Lancôme has launched a new range, called Énergie de Vie, which instantly awakened my dormant love for this brand.
Énergie de Vie is inspired by Asian beauty rituals and was developed in Lancôme’s Korean labs; it focuses on hydration, cures dull skin and offers a boost of energy to tired epidermis.
The products from this range have very interesting, lightweight textures and the formulas include Goji Berry extract and Lemon Balm oil.
Énergie de Vie Pearly Wake-up Lotion (€60,50/ 200ml) | This lotion was developed in order to be used post toner and pre moisturizer.
It gives the epidermis a boost and helps the next products absorb better and be more effective.
The formula has a delicate flowery scent and the texture is oily, it’s like water mixed with a little bit of oil.
It glides beautifully on the skin, it can be applied with the hands or a cotton pad (I prefer the second option) and absorbs completely only to leave the skin hydrated, refreshed, smooth; in my case, it also helps refining the pores.
I like to keep it in the fridge in order for the effects to be even more refreshing; it can be used twice a day every day or whenever you would like a boost of freshness, radiance and hydration.
I’ll definitely put this product in my holiday at the sea luggage because it will beautifully calm down my tanned skin.
Énergie de Vie Sleeping Mask (€69,00/ 75ml) | This mask was developed in order to be used overnight instead of the night cream, however I use it during the day after a facial peel and a few minutes of face massage.
It has a gel texture, very light, however dense enough in order to stay on the face and not leak all over my clothes and it absorbs almost completely.
The scent is almost identical to the one of the lotion.
This mask is real skin-food; it hydrates, refreshes, refines pores, smoothes wrinkles, improves circulation and has a great anti-inflammatory effect.
I like to keep it in the fridge and use it after the face massage; the fact that it’s very cold, helps closing the pores and tightening the skin.
Énergie de Vie Sleeping Mask is a skin treat, I absolutely love it and sometimes I even use it on my hands, when they are dry because no hand cream makes them as smooth and velvety as this mask.
This range also includes Énergie de Vie Liquid Moisturiser (€60,50/ 50ml) which also ‘leaves your skin looking energised, healthier, and hydrated.
The new liquid texture melts right in, leaving your skin feeling smoother and softer – a great base for make-up.’
This one I haven’t yet tried, but it will definitely be next on my shopping list.
What is your favourite Lancôme product? What do you think about this new range?
