Guerlain | Terracotta The Bronzing Powder

Guerlain Terracotta The Bronzing Powder - 03 Natural Brunettes

At the beginning of this year, Guerlain relaunches its iconic powder, the Terracotta, which now comes in 8 shades (previously 4), providing colour options from the fairest to the darkest complexions.

Guerlain’s Terracotta Powders were originally launched in 1984 and represented one of the first powdered bronzers available commercially.

Their creation was inspired by the idea of joining sky and earth, sun and sand.

The cult product becomes synonym with sun powder because of the silky texture which offers a sun-kissed effect; it also makes the application a true beauty ritual.

Every 25 seconds, a Terracotta powder is being sold worldwide!

Guerlain reinvents this must-have product by adding 4 new shades to the range (00 Clair Blondes, 04 Moyen Blondes, 07 Foncé Doré, 09 Intense) by changing the fragrance and by ‘upgrading’ its famous logo (the double G’s are now surrounded by a ring of geometric triangles reminiscent of the sun’s rays) .

The shades are still separated between Blondes and Brunettes, however this simplistic labelling is also very complex because it manages to cover all skin tones.

The new fragrance combines ‘the fresh and comforting notes of bergamot and white musks with delicious sunny notes of neroli, jasmine and ylang-ylang’.

Terracotta The Bronzing Powder in 03 Natural Brunettes (52€/ 10g) | I love to use this product for contouring these days because it’s slightly darker than my natural skin colour.

It is a pleasure to apply it, it lasts all day long, it becomes even better with wearing, fusing perfectly with the skin’s warmth and it never oxidises.

I find the new formula more pigmented with a discreet sparkle compared to my old Terracotta in 02 Natural Blondes, which is more matte.

I can’t wait to try Terracotta The Bronzing Powder in 03 Natural Brunettes during summer when my skin is tanned because then I’ll be able to apply it all over my complexion in order to achieve the beautiful Terracotta glow and to also mattify my T-zone.

Conclusion

Terracotta The Bronzing Powder is definitely my favourite bronzing product; in my opinion, you cannot find anything better.

It’s moisturising, it’s luxurious, it offers an elegant and natural look, it lasts forever without being aggressive to the skin and it’s resistant to transfer.

The compact case is a piece of collection and, like all of Guerlain’s products, it looks like jewellery!
