I was very excited to get my hands on this product, mainly because my experience with the Abeille Royale Day Cream for Normal to Combination Skin was and still is super positive.
Abeille Royale Gold Eyetech Eye Sculpt Serum looks really fancy.
It comes in a sleek white tube with a luxurious gold cap.
The 22-karat gold tip extremely innovative applicator is impressive because of its form and because it is heavy; it is also ergonomically designed to be easy to use.
Holding the tube when placing the index finger on the embossed fingerprint helps to create a natural movement when applying the cream.
It’s always cold and it really refreshes the under eye area. Guerlain recommends for the product to be used together with their massage technique, however I like to use it with my own technique.
I put a little drop on my index finger and then lightly tap the product into the skin above the eye bones.
After a few seconds, I use the applicator and press it in the inner corner, outer corner of the eyes, in the middle of the eyebrow and in the middle of the under eye area in order to de-puff, to drain the tissue and to create a relaxing effect.
The results are visible after the first use, the skin is tight, dense, fresh, firm, smooth and the ‘wide-open eye effect’ is real.
The formula is a combination between serum and gel with a discreet royal jelly perfume.
It’s light but moisturising, non-sticky, non-greasy, absorbs rapidly and it has a cooling effect which lasts for a few seconds.
I generally like this product because it really is complex and efficient, however I’m a bit disappointed about the fact that it makes a horrible make-up base.
It cakes all around the eyes and this happens no matter how much product I apply, how I apply it, how long I wait between serum and makeup application.
I hate this sensation and so I only use the Abeille Royale Gold Eyetech Eye Sculpt Serum during the night or during the day when I’m at home and don’t wear any makeup.
Also, I would not recommend this product to someone with dry skin because it’s not very moisturising and I don’t know how effective would be for someone with deep wrinkles.
The serum is mostly impressive because of its tightening and lifting ‘power’; the smoothing effect is real, however I only have fine lines.
Price: €101,50/ 15ml.
What do you think about this product? Would you like to try it?
I got so curious about it! And mostly because of how it looks. I’ll probably try it, now that you put it on the A-list 🙂 My skin is not dry, I have only fine lines, so it makes sense to use it for a while. The applying technique in the gif is yours or Guerlain’s?
Keep inspiring us with nice products.
Loredana
