At the beginning of this month, I was invited to a lovely event in order to find out about the new concepts launched by Caudalie. This brand is very close to my heart and during the years, I used the majority of their products, which are -all of them- complex, efficient, luxurious and so gentle for the skin.
My forever favourites are: the detox night oil from the Polyphenol C15 range, the Grape Water, the scrub & multipurpose oil from the Divine range (the last three are always present in my bathroom).
Now, this event was stylishly marked by the very fun hashtag: #lifeisbetterinpink.
This colour only brings happiness with it and it’s so appropriate for the beginning of spring.
The event took place in a beautiful, spacious and bright building and while sipping crisp white wine, eating sushi and admiring the superb flower arrangements, I learned about the new look of the Vinosource range.
Vinosource is all about moisturized skin and offers four face creams, each of them targeting a specific skin type: sensitive, combination, dry and very dry.
Another product which belongs to this range is the Grape Water, a must-have product.
During the years, I’ve already used the Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid and the Moisture Recovery Cream and during these last two weeks I tested the Moisturizing Sorbet and the Intense Moisture Rescue Cream.
I’m going to share my experience with each and every product.
Moisturizing Sorbet (€24.60/ 40ml) | During the last two weeks I was challenged by nasty acne, it wasn’t anything serious, however it was uncomfortable and the skin looked swollen and was very sensitive.
It’s been years since my last acne episode and I was kind of surprised that even with 37 I sometimes have the skin of a teenager.
I needed a very gentle yet moisturizing product, so I started using the Moisturizing Sorbet each morning and evening.
First, I cleaned my skin with Grape Water and applied the sorbet afterwards.
This product has a very light texture which really looks like a creamy sorbet.
It absorbs immediately without leaving any greasy residue at the surface, it calms the skin beautifully and helps it recover.
The fragrance of the cream is very discreet, a mixture of flowers and cucumber, and it disappears a few seconds after application.
The Moisturizing Sorbet is really efficient for sensitive and troubled skin, it’s anti-inflammatory, comfortable, refreshing and moisturizing; I recommend it for those of you who have a problematic skin type (and try to use it in combination with the Grape Water because it does magic to the complexion).
It’s also a great product for the summer period and makes the perfect make-up base.
Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid (€24.60/ 40ml) | This is the best mattifying product from everything I’ve tried so far.
It’s perfect for the combination skin! I used it exclusively for a couple of years.
My skin is dry on the cheeks and very oily on the T-zone.
The Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid does a great job by absorbing all the excess sebum, refining the pores, hydrating without feeling heavy; it also represents a perfect make-up base.
The formula is lotion-like; the fragrance is discreet, agreeable and disappears immediately after application.
The Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid has a very efficient shine-control effect and offers velvety and matte skin all day long!
I recommend this product to those of you who deal with combination and oily skin.
If, like me, you have dry skin on the cheeks, you can use two products by combining the Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid (for the T-zone) and the Moisture Recovery Cream (for the cheek area).
Moisture Recovery Cream (€24.60/ 40ml) | This product has a creamy formula which glides beautifully on the skin, absorbs instantly and offers moisture throughout the day without leaving any greasy residue on the surface.
The complexion is smooth, dewy and the fine lines under my eye look improved.
It’s a very calming and cocooning product. The fragrance is discreet and spa-like, it relaxes the senses.
The Moisture Recovery Cream is perfect for normal and dry skin.
Moisture Rescue Cream (€24.60/ 40ml) | This cream is really fantastic!
I’ve only used it a few times in order to observe how it feels, how it smells, however it is too much for my skin.
But, my husband has dry skin and sometimes he deals with ugly dry patches on his forehead and nose, so he started using the Moisture Rescue Cream.
I must say, this product is more than a cream, it’s a balm.
It instantly calms, hydrates and makes the skin soft and smooth.
It’s the first time I see such quick results in a skincare product.
The dry patches on my husband’s face disappeared after one day only.
It is a very moisturizing cream with a thick formula and smells deliciously of Shea butter.
It’s very comfortable because it doesn’t leave any greasy residues at the surface and absorbs instantly.
This cream is perfect for dry and very dry skin and it’s a must have during cold and windy winter days.
Tip: I like to use it instead of a lip balm, it restores the moisture levels of my lips within minutes! Fantastic!!!
Grape Water (€7/75ml) | This iconic product is a real must-have, I keep one in my bathroom all the time and during summer I always have one in my purse.
I wash my face with it each morning, I use it for fixing my make-up, for refreshing the complexion, for calming the skin after waxing; I use it on my hair during summer and when I’m at the beach I use it for the face, neck, décolleté, hair, legs and underarms.
Because of the gentle ingredients, I even use it on the skin of my 7 years old son during hot summer days in order to calm, sooth and refresh his sensitive skin.
In my opinion, everyone should use the Grape Water because it’s simply genius!
The packaging of the product is different for a limited period of time and I must say, It looks better this way!
All products are available beginning with this month in all pharmacies and para-pharmacies; with every purchase of a product from the Vinosource range, you receive a free make-up pouch like the one that you see in my photos.
Enjoy the shopping!
